Spotlight on Creativity
January 2008
January's spotlight on creativity is local entrepreneur, Wil Reynolds. In 2002 Wil founded SEER Interactive, a search marketing company based in Philadelphia. Wil's career began at a web marketing agency in 1999, where he tackled the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies for companies like Barnes & Noble, Harman Kardon, DeBeers, DoubleClick, Hotjobs and Mercedes Benz USA. Today, Wil and the team of search professionals at SEER Interactive, assist clients throughout the region such as SEI Investments, Crayola, Spencer's Gifts, WisdomTree and Drexel Online in maximizing their visibility and sales using search engines.
Wil currently sits on the young advisory board of the Covenant House, working with runaway youth. He also volunteers his time with children at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Best advice you've ever been given:
Stay humble, it can all be gone tomorrow.
Your favorite thing about living in the Philadelphia Region:
I am a "foodie," so the access to amazing restaurants is great. Having cultural events, food, and the like in walking distance is just something that makes you want to take advantage of all the city has to offer. If I had to drive in to the city and find parking every time I wanted to do something, I'd not take advantage of so many wonderful parts of the city. Additionally, the ability for young folks to buy houses is amazing when compared to cities like NYC and DC.
Your favorite thing about working in the Philadelphia Region:
I love Philly, being in the city is attractive to potential employees (the taxes aren't). I can jump on a train and be in NYC for a client meeting in about an hour and can turn around and jump on another train to DC in about 2 hours. It is good to be located between so many big cities, it lets me expand out to them without having satellite offices there (yet).
SEER Interactive works with companies to ensure that they maximize their visibility on search engines and on the Internet in general. With technology on the rise, if you aren't on the first few pages of results on the Internet for the right key phrases you basically don't exist. The SEER team strives to make sure their clients are visible, and to track that visibility down to sales and leads for each of them.
