November’s Spotlight on Creativity is local entrepreneur Peter Madden. In 1999, Peter founded AgileCat, a branding, design and public relations agency based in Philadelphia. AgileCat provides clients with everything from branding/name changes and identity to brochure and website design to advertising and public relations. In 2006 Peter was named one of the "40 Under 40" most influential businesspeople in the Philadelphia Region. He was also named a Vanguard by Philadelphia Style in December of 2005.
Additionally, Peter is a member of The Union League, where he is Secretary of The Entrepreneur's RoundTable and also holds a seat on the Membership Enhancement Committee. He is also a member of the Philly Ad Club, Public Relations Society of America and the Philadelphia Public Relations Association.

Tough to name a favorite when each has their own distinct flavor that always keeps things interesting — Rittenhouse Square, South Philly, Old City, Northern Liberties…going to each is like visiting a different city in minutes.
Best advice you've ever been given:
My mom advised me to never lose my sense of humor. This is especially helpful in the life of an entrepreneur, where you always need to laugh: whether you’re staring adversity in the face one day or enjoying the feeling of accomplishment the next.
Your favorite thing about living in the Philadelphia Region:
The people, who regardless of background, neighborhood (whether city or suburbs) or career are becoming more and more passionate about celebrating what is a world-class region. The amazing arts and entertainment offered, from seeing The Philadelphia Orchestra at the Kimmel Center to seeing Metroplex at the Khyber Pass. The food and restaurants, which the more you travel, the more you appreciate how great — and diverse — it is.
Your favorite thing about working in the Philadelphia Region:
First, the people we collaborate with are notoriously candid, which is so refreshing. Second, the region has a real energy and authenticity to it that breeds creativity.
The Center City Proprietors Association for branding and design named AgileCat Innovative Business of the Year in Philadelphia. Clients have included Comcast, The Philadelphia Orchestra, GlaxoSmithKline and Mothers Work, Inc. AgileCat was also honored with a PRSA Pepperpot Award for their public relations work.
