The Insider: Innovation Philadelphia Launches New Website

Innovation Philadelphia launched a new, interactive website last week that focuses on Innovation Philadelphia's mission to grow and increase jobs in the for-profit Creative Economy industries, attract and retain young professionals between the ages of 25-34 and to generate innovative ideas that will define and shape the Philadelphia region's economic future.

Website features for the Creative Economy include:

  • Statistical information about the Philadelphia region's creative industries
  • Calendar of events for creative businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Repository for RFP's for companies seeking creative sources and talent
  • Entrepreneurs' Resource Guide used to grow local creative businesses and attract talent to the region

Website features for Young Professionals include:

  • An up-to-date list of the region's active young professionals organizations
  • Spotlights on regional young professionals and Creative Economy businesses and talent
  • Calendar of networking and professional development events
  • Regional information ranging from finding a job to dining at a hip restaurant

Website features for New, Innovative Ideas include:

  • Innovation Philadelphia Blog which generates discussions around regional topics
  • Information on Innovation Philadelphia's Innovation Forums designed to generate innovative ideas that will shape the future of Philadelphia
  • Surveys that seek opinions about the Philadelphia Region

Innovation Spotlight: Designing Philadelphia's Future

Innovation Philadelphia spotlights regional creative industry entrepreneurs, young professionals making an impact on the Philadelphia region, or innovative initiatives that showcase the tremendous innovative and creative talent driving Philadelphia's economy.

Anthony Bracali, Principal of Anthony Bracali Architecture, supports the built environment of the Philadelphia Region with projects that enhance education, business and the use of public space. His current projects include an expansion for Montessori Charter School, design of the Chester Performing Arts Center, and the development of the Schuylkill River Skate Park.
